Many crucial elements from the plot are missing, such as Michael and Trevor's exile, and the sentence claiming Franklin cuts off connection with the man he spares is not true. However, making these edits goes over the suggested limit of 700 words. I am suggesting that an exception be made for this page so the necessary information can be added. If those elements are important, they can be included without exceeding 700 words. That being said, I fail to see the importance of Michael and Trevor's exile; even in this 1,200-word version, it reads like a minor and inconsequential part of the story. – Rhain☔ (he/him)08:02, 15 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. My reasoning is that to me, knowledge is sacred, and I interpret Wikipedia to be a place where it can be satisfactorily obtained, not lacking due to a word limit that's put in place to meet someone's aesthetic standards. Regardless, I apologize if I got a little snippy in the edit summaries, I'm just very tired. SavagePanda845 (talk) 08:28, 15 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Right, "knowledge is sacred" might be sacred to you, but Wikipedia is not about WP:TRUTH. And we're talking about a plot description of a video game. This is still not an improvement: why are the instances of the word 'gangster' now changed to 'gangbanger', why are the heists (called so in-game) now called 'robberies', why use an unnecessary article before the word 'private military company' and why is the end of the story now 'his relationship with the other ceases or becomes strained', when there is no 'strained' relationship that the player is witness to? soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK13:03, 16 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Regarding the last bit: I don't believe Franklin actually ceases contact with Michael in Option A, but their friendship is weakened, so this phrasing appears to be more accurate (though it's been a while since I've played the game so this is based on other wikis, etc.). I have similar concerns about the rest of the changes, though. – Rhain☔ (he/him)13:34, 16 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
On the "unnecessary article before the word 'private military company'": Leaving it out creates a false title. Although there is nothing inherently wrong with false titles, there is a whole essay about their pitfalls. I've grown accustomed to avoiding them, so I wouldn't consider that change a major downgrade. IceWelder [✉] 13:46, 16 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Not done: didn't hold the positions of Senior Creative Writer, Writing Director, and Vice President of writing (from 2007 until he left in 2023)? M.Bitton (talk) 21:54, 4 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
