Is he related to George Walker and his descendants George Herbert Walker Bush and George Walker Bush? Seems odd for this name to exist in 2 prominent New England families, though, could be a coincidence. (unsigned)

While it is very possibly a coincidence...my guess is that is an actual connection. The Weld Family article mentions a 20th century business connection between the Welds and the Walkers.
