Name collision
editPoking around I've found another person named Sir George Murray. Obviously I am not an Australian, do not know anything about him, and cannot judge whether he deserves recognition or not. If yes, naming should be rearranged somehow to include him as well (he is not listed in disambiguation page either). -- Goldie (tell me) 13:22, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
- I've just seem this. From the link you supply, he seems reasonably notable to me. Although I'm an Aussie, I'd never heard of him either - but that isn't a criterion for notability, fortunately. -- JackofOz (talk) 07:58, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

Governor of Edinburgh Castle?
editThis article states that Sir George Murray was the Governor of Edinburgh Castle, but gives no dates. Looking at the List_of_governors_of_Edinburgh_Castle, he is not mentioned. Perhaps he was an assistant governor? -- Tithon (talk) 19:54, 18 May 2023 (UTC)
