Criteria for the list
editI think the list is getting a bit out of control. It lists a lot of incidents, mostly in the USA, which are newsworthy but not very notable. They are all unreferenced.
I would like to propose that no explosion should be listed here unless it is already covered and referenced in another article. It would not have to be an article purely about the explosion. If it has an on-topic and referenced paragraph in another article then that is OK.
Is this agreeable? --DanielRigal (talk) 00:28, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
Sorting the list
editFrom what I can tell the list appears to be sorted by date. Can anyone confirm that? Also, I was wondering if organizing this data into a table might make the page a bit easier to read? This would allow the data to be sorted by date, country, type of gas, etc. Just a thought. Mburdis (talk) 01:56, 9 August 2014 (UTC)

Is the 2000's Section Becoming Super-saturated with Trivial Incidents?
editThis article started out with examples of major gas explosions that add significant information to the topic (the dangers of flammable gases). In the 2000's section that changed recently. Now, it seems, every news article that people come across that involves gas explosions are added. In the first two sections there are few incidents included. The list is growing, most of the new reports, while trivially true, don't add much to the topic. It's likely there is a small gas explosion somewhere in the world every day. It's not necessary to include them in this Wiki.
And, yes, I understand that for those people involved in the "small, trivial" incidents they are neither small nor trivial. I'm speaking only to the academic value of those incidents relative to this article.22:50, 12 April 2020 (UTC)SanaroG (talk)
