Is virey a typo or a real word?

edit

The Wikipedia:Typo Team/moss spell checker has found a possible typo that a copyeditor needs help to resolve. If virey is misspelled, it can just be corrected in this article. If virey is a legitimate word, it should be added to the English Wiktionary (which defines words in all languages) with a definition at wikt:virey. Feel free to leave a note in this section if you do one of those things, or if you can provide any hints about this word. Thanks!

Date of Death

edit

I'm a bit confused. The date of death cited is 10/25/1593, but in the third reference link, you provide a link to a very official looking letter, from an official Spanish Government Chronicler, with citations provided, which specifically states that the man was assassinated on 10/19/1593. The reason this came up is that another wiki page, about the "1593 transported soldier legend" has yet a THIRD date for the assassination. (I'd take that date with a grain of salt, though, as it is a legend. 38.104.125.171 (talk) 18:54, 7 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
