Plans for Revision
editDear All,
As a student at Rice University currently taking a course on "Poverty, Justice, and Human Capabilities," I am considering revising this article as part of a semester-long project. Specifically, I would like to expand the section on “Anti-Apartheid Protests” by including information on sit-ins and demonstrations across the U.S. and lobbying efforts to withhold investments in South Africa. I plan to also include a section on opposition from the Reagan administration and connect to Reagan's policy of constructive engagement. For a complete list of references, please visit my User Page.
Update: Proposed New Article
editDear All,
I am considering creating a new article on "Anti-Apartheid Movement in the United States" which will be linked to this article. The existing article "Anti-Apartheid Movement" focuses on the boycott protests in Britain but does not discuss anti-apartheid activism in the United States. In the new article I will be creating, I plan to cover the origins of the anti-apartheid movement in the U.S. beginning from the Civil Rights Movement, followed by a section on demonstrations across U.S. colleges and universities, and ending with U.S. sports and cultural boycotts against South Africa.
