Ceratioid?

edit

Why does ceratioid angler redirect here? Is that another term for footballfish? If so, I am wondering if we should have a separate article or disambig page on ceratioid anglers, which link to footballfish, triplewart seadevil (otherwise known as a ceratiod angler), and perhaps others. =Axlq 04:31, 2 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Early 1900s?

edit

The article says: "The football fish was first discovered in the early 1900s by deep sea fisherman in search of flounder." But Himantolophus groenlandicus was described in 1837 and Himantolophus appelii in 1878. --Episcophagus (talk) 11:37, 19 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
