Fair use rationale for Image:Flymetothemoon.jpg
editImage:Flymetothemoon.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

"First fully-3D film"
editThe article says "It is the first animated film to be designed, created, and released exclusively in 3-D". However, the people who made Cassiopéia (1996) are saying the same thing, at least about the "designed" and "created" part. I'm not sure what "released" means. Does it mean that this film was only released in theatres which could show 3D films? Esn (talk) 03:33, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
- That's exactly right. The film will not be shown in "2D" anywhere, only in 3D. A 2D version of the film does not exist. Krikke (talk) 02:45, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- Except you know on TV and DVD, which completely invalidates the statement.24.190.34.219 (talk) 04:11, 8 September 2009 (UTC)
Sneak Preview
editOn 7/19, I saw a sneak preview of the film, presumably in its theatrical release film. There was no Russian/Nadia angle at all. The use of 3D was disappointing at best. For example, with the flies in the foreground in 3D, the lunar landscape behind them was flat. Moioci (talk) 22:30, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
I think in the IMAX cinemas, it cuts out the Russian sub-plot. (anyone who has seen it in IMAX, correct me if I'm wrong) I saw it at the National Media Museum and it cut out the Amos/Nat/Amelia Earhart scene and the Russian sub-plot --Imagine Wizard (talk • contribs • count) Iway amway Imagineway Izardway. 17:58, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
4D effects ?
edit"which features added 4D effects". Is his a typing mistake, i.e. 3D would be right ?! hemmerling (talk) 19:19, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
