Flag with incorrect seal

edit

@BlinxTheKitty: Is the flag that is being used on this article (File:Flag of Wyoming.svg) really the official flag? See this version on Encyclopedia Brittanica, this stock photo, and the image on this site. Both the seal and the bison silhouette are different in our version. The state's website has a low-quality version of the flag that also seems incorrect (there's also this version). There is a different version at Flags of the World as well. The ratios on those seem wrong as Wyoming's flag law (§ 8-3-102) says that "On the ribs of the buffalo shall be the great seal of the state of Wyoming in blue. The seal shall be in diameter one-fifth (1/5) the length of the flag." gobonobo + c 19:30, 17 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Best suggestion is to contact anyone within the office involving flags/emblems in Wyoming, another thing I can think of is to suggest someone to fix the SVG of the flag, but a issue I see is that alamy photo, which isn't that much of a good source and I believe that the seal differing is a result of manufacturing problems as I seen Wyoming flags with the actual seal colors and not blue/white @Gobonobo: --BlinxTheKitty (talk) 22:47, 17 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Here's one sent from the Governor to a National Guard battalion. Anyhow, I'll go ahead and try to contact the Secretary of State and see what they have to say. Hopefully that'll clear it up. It won't be a problem to convert an image like File:Flag of Wyoming by Verna Keays.jpg to an SVG. gobonobo + c 00:03, 18 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
