Racing record
editFaugheen's unblemished racing record is currently shown as 11-0-0. He's only raced 10 times under rules - his first win was a point-to-point race, which is also noted in the box. I'd favour showing his record as 10-0-0, removing his PtP win - we don't normally include those in infoboxes - compare Cool Dawn, only his 17 rules races are noted, nothing of his 12 PtPs. --Bcp67 (talk) 20:06, 16 October 2015 (UTC)
- PTP is a similar form of racing to chasing(admittedly not very popular), just like NH bumpers are similar to flat racing. Not every horse on wiki includes the record on their entire career in all type of racing events because either that info is not easily found or the wiki pages contributors took the race record from a website that doesn't includes PTP races(ATR, Timeform). I don't see why his race in a PTP is less worthy of inclusion in his overall record, Wiki shouldn't be used as media reporters who ignore his full record because it sells more papers when saying 10 out of 10. I even saw a recent article in which the journalist only mentioned unbeaten in 9 wins, probably he referred over hurdles but still incorrect as his unbeaten record began with his win over that PTP race.
- Therefore my vote is against this as it doesn't do anyone any harm knowing his full record which is also available on Racing Post website, which for the past ~10 years have also recorded every PTP race full results(with comments as well). Maok3 (talk) 21:19, 16 October 2015 (UTC)
- I think you've made a decent case there, and I'll leave the racing record alone. --Bcp67 (talk) 12:59, 3 November 2015 (UTC)
