Debt
editCan anyone calculate the net debt of Haiti? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dmanrox (talk • contribs) 04:10, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
Early History
editArticle says "Between 1964 and 1986 Haiti was ruled by the corrupt and oppressive Duvalier family. Loans incurred during this period alone are estimated to account for approximately 15% of Haiti's debt."; the source for this section, http://www.jubileedebtcampaign.org.uk/Haiti+3113.twl, says 40%, not 15%. Changing section to say 40%. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dellaslow (talk • contribs) 22:09, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
Peak external debt of $1.8 billion
editI can't find a source for this claim, so have marked it dubious. The claim was previously cited to a Times article of 20 May 2009, but ctrl-f for "1.8" within that article comes up empty. The other cite isn't archived in The Wayback Machine or the Wikiwix archive, and since it seems to be from a pressure group, I'm dubious, anyway. ICA to spend hours in research and rewriting the article right now. Stroller (talk) 00:02, 7 July 2015 (UTC)
Link to the reference is a website that doesn't exist anymore. Anybody with another link?
edit" France demanded payment of 150 million francs. ..." is supported by http://www.odiousdebts.org/odiousdebts/index.cfm?DSP=content&ContentID=9636 but that website doesn't even exist anymore. The whole article sort of reposes on this claim. Sincerely, --SvenAERTS (talk) 13:45, 6 July 2017 (UTC) This number (2.1 billion is from statistica): Statista. “National Debt of Haiti 2025.” Statista, 1 Apr. 2021, www.statista.com/statistics/531604/national-debt-of-haiti. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:703:200:4CE4:797E:2CF:891D:DA61 (talk) 12:52, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
