Conventions re journals?

edit

I saw that DGG removed the list of the current editorial board from the article. I don't have a particular problem with that but would like to understand what if any the conventions regarding such things are. When I was creating the article, I basically looked at the articles about three top mathematical journals, Inventiones Mathematicae, Annals of Mathematics and Journal of the American Mathematical Society. They all contained the lists of current editors and I sort of used them as a template.

While listing the editorial board might look like spam, it actually does contain some amount of valuable information. For example, the reputation of the editors as mathematicians says something about the quality and the standing of the journal (and in fact, informally, many people in the field judge the journals partly based on this data). So the fact that famous mathematicians such as David Mumford and Peter Sarnak are on the editorial board of this journal actually does mean something, both to experts and non-experts. An as I see, Publications Mathématiques de l'IHÉS also has a list of editors. Nsk92 (talk) 12:20, 11 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Updates to the article

edit

According to their website, the editor in chief is now Alex Kontorovich[1]. Can anybody change that? SamyakShirsh (talk) 16:35, 29 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
