Err.. Exophora can be either deixis or what?
yea either deixis or.....? im waiting.....
How come no reference to anaphora? Stevenmitchell 20:26, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
Definition?
editThis is by no means a definition... "In linguistics, exophora is reference to something extralinguistic, and contrasts with endophora." That's just giving an example of what it isn't. soldierx40k (talk) 01:31, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
The Queen
edit"The Queen" is a bad example. It can easily occur in a sentence of a country that has no queen, in which case it often is understood to refer to the queen of England (at least that's how it works in Germany), just like "der Kaiser" or "the Tsar" are (or were) understood in English to refer to the respective specific heads of state.
