Quotations
editWhile the duplicate detector claims that there are copyvios, a careful look shows that the quotes info was in parenthesis or the bibliography section. I therefore removed the copyvio notice. -- Ypnypn (talk) 20:56, 14 February 2013 (UTC)
- The use of quotation marks does not eliminate copyright concerns, I'm afraid, under U.S. law, and it doesn't make extensive non-free content okay to use on Wikipedia. We are limited to brief quotations of non-free content used transformatively in accordance with WP:NFC. I have tagged the article for review; the quotations should be properly summarized except where it is necessary to directly copy somebody else's words. WP:MOSQUOTE and the links from it may help anyone undertaking this work. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:36, 24 August 2013 (UTC)
Link Evasion Chart
editThis page needs to also be linked and searchable by the modern term 'evasion chart' as printed by the US Department of Defense National Geospacial Agency and compiled by the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency. https://www.nga.mil/About/History/NGAinHistory/Pages/EvasionCharts.aspx — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.177.106.175 (talk) 12:08, 19 June 2016 (UTC)
topic change?
editMuch of this map is not about evasion charts but maps printed on fabric, I looked in the logs but it doesn't appear the name was changed form silk of fabric maps, though that is much of the content, probably 80%, drowning out the actual topic of evasion charts mostly from WW-II to present. ALso presented is some cloth navigation charts for u-boats, again off topic and if I have time I will, unless there is consensus objection, trim this away to what will probably end up a stub, though preserving the information as a cloth maps article would be preferable. Since I didn't register years ago I am not going to do so now, so someone else will have to create that article.Solomon(for now)109.67.116.29 (talk) 11:19, 16 September 2016 (UTC)
