Some preliminary observations:

  • The information about his nickname, while worth mention in the lead, should be mostly relocated (with the citations) to somewhere in the body of the article. The lead is a summary of the article; it does not present unique information.
  • A lot has happened since Mnangagwa's inauguration. The July 2018 elections and his new policies and actions since then need to be covered, as does his new government.
  • Lost of disjointed paragraphs - some consolidation would be nice.
  • The prose gets drab at times. Lots of "He said", "He also said", etc. in subsequent sentences. A revision could help.
  • Mnangagwa is considered to be one of the richest men in Zimbabwe. This statement is not supported by the source (I checked) and needs to either be properly backed up or removed. An estimate on his actual worth, if available, should be included.

It's been two weeks and the nominator, ChieftanTartarus, has not responded to these comments. It appears they are no longer very active on Wikipedia. The article does not meet GA standards, so I'm failing its nomination. -Indy beetle (talk) 19:43, 6 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
