Conflict of Interest
editElsewhere, User:Csibon has indicated that they can be contacted via an e-mail address on the gwenemmanuel.us domain, which is mentioned in the article as being connected with Emmanuel Serriere. Hence, the reason for the COI tag. -- PhantomSteve (Contact Me, My Contribs) 18:20, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for that clarification. Everything which had nothing to do with Emmanuel Serriere's work with developmentally disabled and autism has been removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Csibon (talk • contribs) 14:01, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
Still problems with the article
editI tried finding evidence of Serriere's involvement with the two pieces of legislation.
I can't find anything (apart from Serriere's own website and Wikipedia mirrors) to show any connection between SB 2093 and Serriere. Google searches revealed nothing.
The same goes for any connection between AB 1910 and Serriere - again, the only place where there seems to be a connection is on Wikipedia mirrors.
I have not found significant coverage of Serriere in independent, reliable sources. -- PhantomSteve (Contact Me, My Contribs) 14:11, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
- I actually have found quite a bit, thanks to his work with Mantecan CAPS. -- Atama頭 17:59, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
- I had come across those references on Google News Archive. As most of those are subscription services (and I am unwilling to part with my card details even for the free trial), I was unable to assertain how much they say about Serriere. Certainly some of them (from the Google summaries) may well have some decent information, whereas others may just be a very brief mention - we just need someone with access to find out! The only free one there is:
- "Arnold Peace Pole Replaced" MyMotherLode.com - Jul 20, 2004 (here) which has the following mention: Some might have given up on the project in the face of such senseless destruction, but Rotary President Emmanuel Serrière said they could not do that. "Do you think some hoodlum´s going to deter our effort for peace in the world?" Serrière asked...Serrière called on five girls who were there for the ceremony to help raise the pole in place.
- As I say, I don't know how much coverage the other references have -- PhantomSteve (Contact Me, My Contribs) 20:51, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
