Resume
editWikipedia is not the forum to post resumes or cv. The objectivity of this article should be questioned, as the author of the entry is also the subject. The notability of this subject for inclusion on Wikipedia should be questioned. Because the author feels he is a notable subject does not make it so. This entry, having been written by the subject of the entry himself, is extremeley laudatory and does not allow for any critical or objective analysis. Awards
editWhat awards has the Maryland State Archives' web site won? Need to cite the awards.
This article makes some wild claims without any citation or verification. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.206.36.251 (talk • contribs) 22:05, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
Note from the Author
editThe awards, including one for our website are listed.
The purpose of the entry is to establish the credentials of the author as he edits/creates wikipedia articles. While I agree that having to write my own entry is awkward, all 'assertions' are documented in the article, with reference to the principal publications and web sites that authoritatively support the claims. If there is any dispute about what I have claimed here, do contact me directly. I frankly know of no web site that has put over 190,000,000 images of vital historical records on line, but I would be happy to hear about it if someone knows differently. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ecpclio (talk • contribs) 16:35, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
- It's more than "awkward", but as other editors have noted, is a conflict of interest. Tedickey (talk) 20:17, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
