No mention of bearings, counterweights, or other mechanical means
editWe need a subject matter expert to address more exotic eartquake constructions techniques including:
- Dampened Bearings -- allows portion of the building above the foundation to remain relatively stable while the earth and foundation shifts laterally
- Active Counterweights -- actively controlled counterweights in upper parts of the structure are moved to counteract swaying, keeping the structure relatively stable
- Others??
