My husband and I watched a t.v. show tonight on R.F.D. T.V . Doug Kershaw appeared on the show and I thought that he must be the son of the original Doug Kershaw. But then I read his biography on wiki pedia and found that he was born in 1936, the same year my husband was born. So........... either that was an old show or Doug has found the fountain of youth. The show originated in Branson MO so I dont think it was that old. Did anyone else see this show ?? Or can straighten me out  ?? I also saw Doug Kershaw on RFD last week, I think it was a few years back but not sure. My husband says that he passed away last year. I said he did not and still performing. Would like an answer to this. We really enjoy his music. Judy—Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.43.195.202 (talk) 17:33, 11 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

I am thinking Doug Kershaw had a cameo in the movie Blazing Saddles playing the electric violin in the desert.

Doug Kershaw is still alive and very much kicking. The BAYOU HOUSE is one of his more recent adventures. Go to his web site and read about him. You could e-mail him.

Parts of this article, especially under the headings "Louisiana Man" and "Later Life", are identical to the biography page on All Music. http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=11:gifexq95ldde~T1 Tumblecat (talk) 02:29, 22 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please consider that what one person might consider as spam (a few sentences referring to info that ties one page to the other), could really be what a less experienced contributor considered as a way to connect pages, articles & or references so they wouldn't be an "orphan." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.115.120.66 (talk) 17:55, 23 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
