Hard Evidence / Evidence

edit

Changing: "Investigators convinced the landscaper to confront Terri while wearing a wire, but they were unable to obtain any hard evidence and therefore did not make an arrest."

For: "Investigators convinced the landscaper to confront Terri while wearing a wire, but they were unable to obtain any evidence and therefore did not make an arrest."

The inclusion of "hard evidence" rather than "evidence" possibly suggests that some circumstantial evidence was obtained or suggestive remarks were made, which were insufficient for police to proceed with arrest. If this is the case then it should be mentioned. Or, if a police officer or another authority has made the exact statement "no hard evidence was obtained", or words to that effect, then the quotation should appear. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.255.66.157 (talk) 09:35, 4 August 2014‎ (UTC)Reply

(Should Be Included In Article) It should be noted that there was no indictment of Terri Moulton Horman after the Multnomah County Grand Jury heard the case in 2010. In Oregon, a majority (five of seven) grand jurors must agree on whether there is enough evidence to warrant a trial jury to convict the defendant. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.185.191.22 (talk) 14:33, 15 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Memorial pic from 2015

edit

I happened to be going past the memorial today, so I took a pic and uploaded it. The page already has two pics, so I'm not adding it myself. File:Kyron Horman memorial in 2015.jpg tedder (talk) 00:46, 9 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Missing details

edit

I'm listing them here from memory. I don't have the time to find references for all of them -- or, to be honest, the interest, but this article omits some of the better-known details.

  • Over the months following Kyron's disappearance, much of the wooded area surrounding his grade school was searched for the boy or his body unsuccessfully. These searches were repeated at various times in following years, at point (IIRC) including part of nearby Sauvie Island.
  • There has been a lot of television & press coverage of Kyron's disappearance. At one point bill boards displayed his picture, asking for information. IMHO, his father & birth mother have been effective in using the press to keep this case active.
  • Terri Horman came under widespread suspicion in Kyron's disappearance. (Personally, I can't help but think she knows more than what she's said.) As a result, not only did she divorce Kyron's father, but within a year she left Portland to live with her parents in Springfield. Due to her notoriety she had trouble finding work, & made at least one effort to change her name. According to DMV records, in 2015, she moved to California.[1] More recently, Terri Horman broke her silence about the case with an interview published in People magazine.[2] -- llywrch (talk)

Another link, to an odd story from Willamette Week, that's dead but archived: [ http://blogs.wweek.com/news/2010/07/01/kyron-hormans-family-boots-ww-and-the-oregonian/] -Pete Forsyth (talk) 02:34, 9 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hired to kill whom?

edit

"In late June 2010, in the midst of the investigation into Kyron's disappearance, Kaine Horman was reportedly told by investigators that Terri had offered their landscaper, Rodolfo Sanchez, "a lot of money" to kill him.[14]"

Who does "him" refer to in this sentence? It becomes clear that it's the husband if you read closely, but this ambiguous sentence should be made clearer. Temerarius (talk) 06:20, 13 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Changed "him" to "her husband". Sjö (talk) 17:24, 23 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
