Unrelated reference in History
editA 1996 book referenced in history does not seem really related, as the book generically discusses 'new communication environments' and has no relation with the rest of the entry. I removed it and dropped it here:
An early contribution to understanding digital ecosystems was an innovative book by Giuseppe Mantovani in 1996.[1] Referred to at the time as 'new communication environments', Mantovani found that digital ecosystems need to be understood from three angles. Those being the perspective of situated action from cognitive science, for which he provided a model of social context as a framework for inspiring artifact use and starting from it, and the individual and organizational impact of digital ecosystems. His model challenged older models of communication as information transfer and his book discusses the role of digital ecosystems as new communication environments.
