Beauty pageant winner

edit

In the movie Drop Dead Gorgeous, it's stated that Diane Sawyer won a beauty pageant. What pageant was it, and when did she win? --LostLeviathan 18:31, 24 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

From IMDB: "1963 America's Junior Miss, 1963 Kentucky's Junior Miss."

Just a note: Her sister-in-law, Su-Mei Yu, who she calls Thais actually is not a Thai. She is someone who was born there but is not a local. She pushes herself off as a Thai to make money off the Thai ideas of food and health but she has no Thai blood. her name isn't even a Thai name. Anyone who looked into Thailand would know this.125.25.213.80 (talk) 03:13, 23 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Who cares? Take it somewhere else! Str1977 (talk) 10:40, 5 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

If it's an annual pageant and she won in 1963, how can this sentence be accurate? "So, during the period from 1962 to 1965, Sawyer was America's Junior Miss, touring the country to promote the Coca-Cola Pavilion at the 1964–1965 New York World's Fair." Religion

edit

I do not think that it is appropriate that she be called a Roman Catholic,as she has never identified herself as practicing,or even religious. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.27.46.73 (talk) 16:17, 1 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Madonna Interview

edit

Under the list of notable interviews, Madonna is listed as being interviewed by Diane. This is false information, Madonna has never been interviewed by Diane Sawyer. --69.141.190.13 (talk) 20:57, 11 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Personal life

edit

How many garbage cans does she have at her main house? What's her favorite color? How many houses does she own? Who was her best friend in college? In kindergarten? Is her hair really naturally blond? Did she ever get an F in school? Hopefully, you get the drift... Stevenmitchell (talk) 15:36, 12 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Interview with Saddam Hussein

edit

Somebody added the line, "Her interview[clarification needed] with Iraqi President Saddam Hussein was his first Western television interview in a decade." No. Dan Rather very famously and conspicuously interviewed him 03. It was "big news" when it happened and you can watch the interview between Rather and Hussein on youtube. I hate it that fans write these damn entries. By the way, Diane Sawyer is really stupid. Just wanted to say that.

Error -- School newspaper

edit

The "Arrow" was not the Seneca High School newspaper. The newspaper was called "The Sentinel". "The Arrow" was the yearbook. (I know because I have a copy of "The Arrow" from 1967 and my brother was editor of "The Sentinel" in 1964.) I'm not sure which she may have been editor of.drh (talk) 19:42, 4 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

There's too much missing to class it a 'B'. Doesn't mention anything about her politician father, and there's nothing much in-depth about her. Stevie is the man! TalkWork 16:55, 20 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
