Historical population

edit

Going to the source it is clear that the population pre 1809 is within current borders i.e. not including the actual population of the country when it still included other areas like Finland and Pomerania. Could this be stated explicitly somewhere?--Kylakoski (talk) 05:48, 12 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

References, and current population figures

edit

The first sentence refers to the population in March 2020, yet the reference (Wayback Machine) is dated 2 May 2019. The Government Offices of Sweden web site does not refer directly to population at a first glance (https://www.government.se/). The CIA World Factbook today gives an estimated figure for the population of Sweden as 10,202,491 as at July 2020 (https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/sw.html). Does Sweden hold a census? Halteres (talk) 11:25, 9 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

No. Like much to do with numbers in Sweden it is collected by Statistics Sweden (https://www.scb.se/). I think they report the numbers montly, with perhaps yearly figures a bit more checked. Currently it says 10,481,937 for May 2022 (it can be found together with some other important numbers on the main page if you scroll down a bit). Gunnar Larsson (talk) 21:20, 17 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Yazidis in Sweden

edit

I think the presence of the Yazidi community in Sweden should be noted in the Religion section. Bahai and Zoroastrian faiths are mentioned, Yazidis need to be mentioned too. 2A02:FF0:244:C654:9746:2AB0:F6ED:68D1 (talk) 10:55, 28 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
