Talk:Democratic Movement for Malagasy Rejuvenation
Latest comment: 9 years ago by BlueMoonset in topic GA Review
Democratic Movement for Malagasy Rejuvenation was nominated as a Social sciences and society good article, but it did not meet the good article criteria at the time (November 19, 2015). There are suggestions on the review page for improving the article. If you can improve it, please do; it may then be renominated. |

Hi Lemurbaby,
First, congratulations for nominating so many articles for GA simultaneously! It's quite an achievement in itself.
Just a few comments for this article:
- Lead introduces subject well, but doesn't summarise the content. Shouldn't be difficult to fix.
- "Jean Fremigacci, "La vérité sur la grande révolte de Madagascar," L'Histoire, n°318, March 2007." should be converted to a template:sfn format for consistency.
- "Jiny political movement"? Redlink, perhaps?
I've made some tweaks too, feel free to revert if you'd like. Anyway, I'll be very happy to pass it when these issues are resolved.—Brigade Piron (talk) 00:49, 16 August 2015 (UTC)
- Brigade Piron, Lemurbaby hasn't edited on Wikipedia since August 22 (and only made six edits subsequent to July 8). At this point, I think you need to make a decision whether to pass or fail. Given your comments on the lead, it sounds like that at least needs significant work before the article can be listed. BlueMoonset (talk) 23:14, 25 September 2015 (UTC)
- Hi BlueMoonset. I'm happy to let the article review stand as-is, at least for a bit longer. Lemurbaby is a contributor who has produced some very decent articles and has done a great deal to improve Madagascar-content. While his/her contributions can be a bit sporadic (we all have RL commitments, no?) I have every expectation that Lemurbaby will be back at some point to finish the review. I know from my own experience that writers can wait years for a GA reviewer to come along - it doesn't seem fair to fail it after just a week or two of inactivity. —Brigade Piron (talk) 21:09, 26 September 2015 (UTC)
- Brigade Piron, it's been another four weeks—now over two months since Lemurbaby's last Wikipedia edit—and still nothing. That's a very long time to wait. You can always close this now, and should Lemurbaby eventually return, fix the issues you've noted, and renominate, you're free to start a new review at that point. Thank you for your consideration. - Brigade Piron, this review has now been open for over three months, and Lemurbaby hasn't edited for nearly that long. It's time to close this review. BlueMoonset (talk) 18:35, 19 November 2015 (UTC)
