Error on map.
editSorry, but I am still learning about this site and have no idea how to edit the maps on railway related pages or even, in this case, whether I should. Can someone help/advise/do the editing?
On the map, Moorgate Halt is shown as on the branch to Delph off the main Manchester to Leeds (Huddersfield) line. This simply was not the case. Moorgate Halt was on the main line immediately before the branch diverged at Delph Junction. The single line branch then ran along the side of the main line for a few hundred yards before turning towards Delph.
This mistake is replicated on several maps and comes about because mainline trains never stopped at Moorgate Halt, only branch trains. I know this because I have visited the site, seen photographs on the internet and can back up my contention by reference to old OS maps, as at http://www.npemap.org.uk/tiles/map.html#398,404,1 Moorgate was definately on the mainline.
Can someone put this right, or does the fact that it was only used by branch trains mean that the map is in essense correct?
