Article Improvements

Regarding the image in the article, either a "deletion review" needs to be completed to contest the speedy deletion flag, or a new image meeds to be used, if I'm understanding correctly. Improvements

This page can be updated and improved by adding more references, adding sections regarding the history of David Shakow, his works (reference these as well), and maybe even his influence on the work of others. There is little information so far on this page regarding Shakow. His work on schizophrenia is minimally informative, therefore it would be very beneficial to add to this page on who Shakow was and his great contributions to the field of Psychology and more specifically in the research of schizophrenia. Hello Ileana! I am the professor in the History of Psychology class at North Dakota State University that has started on this article. Certainly, everyone is welcome to edit Wikipedia. You should just be aware that a group of three students from my class has also chosen this article for the class project. They will be working on this page until December as well. Thank you so much for responding! This is quite the coincidence! I chose the topic back in September, but since this is Wikipedia, I couldn't really claim anything from so early. I had been working on it on a Word Document in my personal computer until I saw the talk page change up with the separation of tasks. It looks like you are communicating with my students now. That's great. You should start your own user page, which has a talk section. However, the talk page for this article is the proper place to discuss additions and changes to the Shakow article. Remember to stay logged in to Wikipedia so your edits to to the article will tagged to you in the history page. I have worked on the biography and the major works done by Shakow. Ileana Perez, you're more than welcome to add a section on rewards, etc. You could also add a section on the Boulder model since we are discussing mostly the schizophrenia aspect of his works. Ileana, my email is james.council@ndsu.edu. If you email me, I will send you links to tutorials and help documents that will be a big help in learning how to edit. One tip - it's okay to develop a section offline in a Word doc. However, it's best to add to the Wikipedia article gradually, rather than pasting in a big block of text. Great! Yes, it is a coincidence! Small world. You can add new sources, or add old sources by clicking named references and click the correct one and it'll add the reference to your spot without adding references several times in the reference section. It sounds like my teacher can see what and when each specific student adds stuff so I wouldn't worry about it! Also, when I added the scientists box, I could not get it to show his date of birth... Help? Hello, once again! I just wanted to let you all know that I added the Internship/Training Section to the Document, I added a citation to the first sentence of the "Scientist-Practitioner Model" part and I fixed one of your sources (#8) because I used it too and you added an extra author there that is not there. I will be checking the document and this talk page for any necessary updates or any help you guys may need! I can add more stuff like sentences in between stuff and/or help with linking! My project for this page is due this week (I wrote the article on my own on my own sandbox, but am just adding to this official David Shakow page what is missing that you guys have not posted). General comment: You guys have done a great job developing this article. In general, just polish up the writing. It looks like you did what you said you would do in the Talk page, but if there’s anything more to add, go ahead.

Here are some specific suggestions: 1. Biography Early -

• what was Madison House? Explain this influence.
• correct grammar and typos

Career - this section is choppy. Improve quality of writing Either delete Late Life section or add more substance. Last sentence belongs in Contributions.

2. Major contributions Schizophrenia research

• replace “David” with Shakow.
• Add reference for dissertation
• Don’t capitalize schizophrenia

3. Other contributions

• change title to Awards and Recognition

Assignment 10

I was sort of confused when looking at the assignment 10 safe assign report. Most of it showed as coming from Wikipedia which is good, but there were a few sentences that were sourced as from "Another student's paper"... not sure if this just means Wikipedia as well like you said Hannah?
