O RLY?

edit
*Godparents can only grant voice-related wishes made by their kids' voices.

--- Wait a tick though...when Timmy was turned into a baby at the day care center...he used either blocks or the license plate machine to spell out his wish (I can't remember which). --70.44.87.49 07:31, 9 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

It's a cartoon. He made a wish with charades once, remember? Just assume that when it says "voice related wishes" it means a wish pertaining specifically to a persons voice, ergo "I wish I was ten" and "I wish for sound" don't count--64.148.56.23 21:34, 12 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Or it could mean that wishes can be granted to their kids by other means when they can't speak because of the effect of another wish.

This seems a bit simple to figure out to me... that if a wish is granted by speaking it must be in the godchild's voice. It is a cartoon though...-Naruttebayo

"I wish the roaches were dead!"

edit

Apparently, Timmy could wish for something to be killed using magic; the reason that he couldn't wish the roaches were dead, during the episode where Wanda goes to the Fairy World Spa, was that roaches are some of the only creatures on Earth that could both survive a nuclear winter and not be wished killed... only "poofed" away. --Geopgeop 04:55, 28 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Did you see the episode?

*When a Fairy is in a One-day training, they must be replaced until they get back."

I was under the impression that the "temp" was not actually a fairy. The "temp" was an elf that ran away from a maniacal santa parody. Also, this restriction is never really implied over the course of the show. Perhaps this restriction should be removed. (I may be wrong as it has been a very long time since the pilot aired ;) ArminHammer 15:32, 16 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

But...

edit
*Any child that is too mean or ungrateful could lose his/her Godparents, if not his/her memory.

Can't we use a better application for this one? What about the episode where the Genie used a copy of Timmy to make his godparents leave in Fairy Idol? Can't we use that as a better application?Gamloverks Or the the one Timmy goes inside the Internet? 67.38.242.86 15:15, 3 August 2007 (UTC)GameManiaReply

Significant

edit

OK with the {{rewrite}} {{in-universe}} {{OR}} tags, but anyone who has seen a single episode of the series knows that Da rules is a significant book in the Fairly Oddparents! The main page is already very long, hence a page dedicated to Da Rules is useful. Of course, it should be rewritten. Popopp 14:10, 18 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

So basically, because it's popular in only one thing in the entire world, it should receive its own article? It's not popular, relevant, or important outside of the series. - A Link to the Past (talk) 15:15, 2 May 2007 (U

I agree with A Link to the past, the article is not relevant enough to be in wikipedia, it belongs as a section in the main article--Striderdan (talk) 20:23, 5 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

merge proposal

edit

shouldn't this be merged with the main article about the Fairly odd parents if it's not that important outside of the series?65.173.90.94 19:51, 8 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Agreed: It indeed should be merged on the main article. Meanwhile i will rewrite and cleanup as there are a lot of listed things that are not rules but application. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Samuel Sol (talkcontribs) 11:29, 17 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO SAY THAT I HATE THIS MERGE, JACKASSES!!!!!!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.31.111.78 (talk) 18:47, 30 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Excuse me, but I was the one who suggessted the merge in the first place, and Wikipedia is not the place to say swear words.208.3.110.254 14:04, 15 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

There are plenty of shows (like Naruto,Bleach, and Avatar The Last Airbender) that have pages that are only important to the show, but that doesn't meen they are unimportant! And to the person who wrote the the swear word who are you??? Sign next time you want to make a statement like that!!!Smileyface 12 91 02:07, 24 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

I think it should retain its own article. It's fairly long and detailed, and it's nice to keep things like this organized. While important to the series, Da Rules are not general information about the show itself, so I don't believe they belong in the main article about the series. Da Rules are more important and detailed, almost like being its own character. Plus, it would make the main article very cluttered, I think. --Hawkfangor 10:05, 14 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Well, some of the rules are only mentioned in one episode and therefore shouldn't be listed here.208.3.110.254 (talk) 15:00, 19 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
