Slight Expantion - suggested split?
editI've changed things around. The problem about controversy in this article is it's about the crown complex, not only the casino itself. Maybe the Article can be split into 2? The complex and the casino? Despite this, I've still added discussion about the VCGA and what they do.Jedi-Jesus 08:00, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
Irrelevant information removed
editI have removed the following from the article:
- "Australian media and gaming group Publishing & Broadcasting Ltd (PBL) is involved in two casino projects in Macau: the $260 million Crown Macau, scheduled for completion in 2006-07, and the $1.4 billion City of Dreams. The projects are joint ventures with Melco, a Macau company. In March 2006, PBL announced that it had spent US$900 million (A$1.2 billion) to purchase a casino sub-concession from Wynn Resorts that would give the Melco-PBL joint venture the right to conduct casino operations. PBL's commitment to these ventures is the biggest investment by an Australian company in the PRC to date.[1]"
This is the article on Crown Casino, not PBL. - Mark 15:34, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
Some discussion of controversy?
editSurely there should be some discussion of the controversy when Jeff introduced it? This text all seems a bit positive to me. Shermozle 03:43, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
How about now? I've included the issue of failure to abide by the law. Unfortunately, lots of patrons dont make the Casino accountable for its illegal actions.
Crown Towers
editI thought when it was opened there was only one hotel tower and another identical one was later to be built along side it, making 'twin towers'. I see on the picture there seems to be another tower under construction to the left of the original tower. Is that tower pictured under construction the second of the towers? If so it seems to be of a different design. Can anyone help out on these points? Ajayvius 05:11, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
the tower next to crown towers in the photo is not part of the crown complex. that is actually across the road from the crown complex. the only high rise parts of the crown complex are crown towers, crown promenade, and the yet, un named 3rd hotel. 59.167.64.176 17:17, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
Removed: laws about credits under $1 on slot machines
editPretty much irrelevant now because all the slot machines have removed coin payouts and have gone to paper tickets making it possible to cash out figures under a $1 without the need for manual payouts. Koala72 (talk) 02:44, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
