This article seems to link "cold abscess" directly with TB, then the latter is just one infectious cause (others including a variety of fungi, etc) and there are other conditions (like Hyperimmunoglobulin E syndrome) characterized by cold abscesses due to S. aureus. Thus, the term "cold abscess" is descriptive - a syndromic finding - not a condition with a single cause. Nonetheless, I think a Good Article can be built around this topic because the topic is notable, the literature is robust, and the concepts are interesting. To do this, the article will have to be rewritten almost entirely. -- Scray (talk) 13:52, 24 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Contested deletion

This article should not be speedy deleted as being recently created, having no relevant page history and duplicating an existing English Wikipedia topic, because it's a notable topic, readily verified. I've already stripped it down a bit, added a couple of references, and explained this on the talk page. I had done this prior to the application of the PROD, btw. --Scray (talk) 14:14, 24 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

As I've already noted, this is NOT a synonym of tuberculous lymphadenitis - people with Job's syndrome get these with S. aureus. -- Scray (talk) 14:16, 24 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
