Contested deletion
editThis article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... people need to know about the creek, don't they? Don't expect that everyone's IQ is 1000000. --MrCrazyFrog (talk) 00:01, 6 August 2013 (UTC)

This creek is fairly notable. It frequently causes flooding. The limited number of bridges crossing it, causes significant traffic congestion and is also a major barrier to walking and cycling through the neighbourhoods which the creek passes through, because it is difficult to cross. To get from one neighbourhood to another which is only 200 metres away, you have to travel 3 or 4 kilometers to a bridge, which is impractical if trying to walk there. This creek is also used for irrigating marijuana plantations. A lot of time, volunteer effort and government money has been spent on tackling weed infestations along the bank of the creek, with limited success so far.
I don't know why someone has commenced an article on a new subject with only two sentences. I expect that they will return to add more information later.Eregli bob (talk) 00:03, 6 August 2013 (UTC)
- This is something for their userpage, then. It does not belong out in the mainspace because as it sits right now, it is easily deletable under several different guidelines. It could be deleted for lack of references and because it does not assert its' significance. Razorflame 00:40, 6 August 2013 (UTC)
