NPOV
editI came into this article with the notion that this man was a fan of eugenics who immorally conducted medical experiments involving birth control in Puerto Rico and Los Angeles with respect to race and was involved in a "Negro Project." However, this article basically defines the man as a saint. He crusaded for justice in his fields of birth control, and there are a great many references to his all-around good nature (who cares if his mother told him it's about doing the right thing and not taking credit?).
I am well aware that my point of view is biased, but the current state of the article not only is biased but leaves out some significant biographical information about Gamble. ~ magbatz 14:18, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
July 9, 2011: I know for certain that Clarence Gamble was heavily involved in the eugenics movement, and wrote at least one document -- as late as 1950 -- about human sterilization; it was written in a pro-eugenics manner. This article is seriously flawed. -- Molly B. Fleming — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.32.211.87 (talk) 02:15, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
removing POV tag with no active discussion per Template:POV
editI've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:
- This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
- There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved
- It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given
- In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.
- This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 (talk) 00:13, 22 June 2013 (UTC)
Presumably lack of discussion is from a lack of interest. Months later, the removal of the tag is still the last edit.
Something needs to be done though. This is just a terrible article in general. Just... just awful. Tracing it back and the article was pretty much non-existent before 21st March 2007 when an IP address made some changes. Compare this to this. Note especially the line "CLARENCE J. GAMBLE An Extraordinary Life by Miriam Reed, Ph.D."
Whomsoever might be reading this, don't tell me to Be Bold. I'm not going to do anything. Just pointing it out that this is really bad. 86.29.7.17 (talk) 20:24, 28 October 2013 (UTC)

Horribly written article
editWe should not be referring to him as "Clarance" or as "Dr. Gable". Almost all references should be "Gamble". Also we should not use Dr. + name for his associates. In most cases we do not even need Dr. on first mention. Edna McKinnon should be refered to as McKinnion nor Edna on mentions after the first. We also do not need so much coatracking of unrelated material.John Pack Lambert (talk) 20:07, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
