- ... that chili crisp, a hot sauce used to top everything from eggs to ice cream (pictured), has a "cult-like" fandom? Source: https://food52.com/blog/24111-best-chili-crisp-lao-gan-ma "It's good on scrambled eggs." "It's good on vanilla ice cream. " and https://tastecooking.com/cult-spicy-chile-crisp/ "Many have described the fandom as cult-like"

- Comment: I'm going to try to get an image of chili crisp on ice cream, but for now here's this image as what we have for now
5x expanded by Valereee (talk). Self-nominated at 18:31, 27 November 2021 (UTC).
- Article has undergone an 8.4x expansion and is long enough, neutral, sourced, and plagiarism-free :) hook is cited and interesting, and a qpq has been done. The image is freely licensed and clear. However (and this might just be my jewish-childhood-eating-cold-pita-and-cold-cheese-reaction talking), the picture does not exactly sell the condiment's appeal. So, it's good to go if the promoter so chooses, but I wouldn't quite recommend it. Nice work, valereee—fascinating read! theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (they/them) 21:15, 28 November 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks, TLC, for the review. I agree, the image isn't the greatest. —valereee (talk) 15:58, 29 November 2021 (UTC)
I've replaced. Note to promoter: if you'll hold off for a few days, I'll get a better image. —valereee (talk) 15:58, 29 November 2021 (UTC) Theleekycauldron, would you have time to approve this new image? —valereee (talk) 20:43, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
- valereee, did you make and photograph your own chili crisp for this? I'm impressed, that's really awesome. Image is freely licensed and clear at 100px, so this is good to go with the picture if the promoter so chooses! theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (they/she?) 20:58, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
- Bought a commercial product, photographed it myself. There is every likelihood I will make this in future, as that is very typical of me. :D I do a lot of (low-quality) food photography for WP. —valereee (talk) 21:30, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
ALT0a: * ... that chili crisp, a hot sauce with a "cult-like" fandom, is used to top everything from eggs to ice cream (pictured)? Theleekycauldron, I don't think this probably needs approval as it's basically the same ALT just written in a different order, but just FYI. —valereee (talk) 19:39, 9 December 2021 (UTC)
clarification needed tag
editHey, @Bensin, an edit summary or talk page section would help clarify what you're asking for clarification on? :D Didja see what I did there? —valereee (talk) 21:12, 18 December 2021 (UTC)
- @Valereee:: Hello! I specified it further in the template in the wiki code: {{clarify|In what way is it cult-like?|date=December 2021}}, but I wish that comment was visible in a tooltip when a user hovers over the link. I agree that I might as well have included it in the summary. I will try and remember that in the future. Thanks! --Bensin (talk) 18:08, 19 December 2021 (UTC)
- It's in quotes because to speculate on what that meant, exactly, would be synth. —valereee (talk) 00:07, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
