The article is titled Chairacha, yet opens with Phrabat Somdet Phra Chairachathirat (Thai: สมเด็จพระไชยราชาธิราช), with Chairachathirat redirecting here. This article is full of guesses and assertions, all, of course, without any citations.
The first clashes between Burma and Siam couldn't have taken place in 1538/1539. Toungoo Burma and Siam came to share a common border only in 1541 when Tabinshwehti took Martaban and Moulmein. I wish Damrong did a bit more fact checking before making his assertions. See the discussion page for the Burmese–Siamese War (1548) [1].
That Chairacha tried to invade Lan Na to ward off Burmese influence is also another overreach, without a careful study of events inside Burma. Between 1541 and 1546, the Toungoo Dynasty controlled only Lower Burma, and had its hands full with Upper Burma and Arakan. Lan Na was so far off its radar. It would not try anything with Lan Na until 1558 after it had taken over the Shan States in 1557. Simply state that Chairacha tried to take over Lan Na. Leave it at that.
