Conflict of Interest
editWhy has this tag been applied to the page without discussion? Is there evidence of a COI? Thanks.Tobit2 (talk) 00:28, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
It was applied because I indicated I was Vice-President of the organization, and corrected some obvious factual errors. Apparently, anyone involved in an organization is prohibited from correcting entries on that organization.
If I were being less than neutral, I would truly object to saying that CCNM is an organization for mothers who have 'placed children for adoption.' For many/most of the mothers in this organization, there was no 'adoption plan' or 'placing', since our children were taken from us due to our unmarried state, youth and poverty in years past. We had no choice, and frankly, it's offensive to me to describe our organization in terms which make history different than our lived experience. sfpace 03:41, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
Official Website link on this article is a scam
editThe official website of the Canadian Council of Natural Mothers is now at https://canmothers.ca/
The link listed on the site http://www.ccnm-mothers.ca/ was originally the CCNM website, but it was taken over by a scammmer, and is now used as an advertisement and scam site. A quick look at the two websites will show that this site stole some content, but mostly is used to advertise adoption and whatever else, in complete contradiction to CCNM principles.
I can't seem to edit the corrected link into the site, since I am new at editing. Can someone please help? LaughingWalrus (talk) 21:10, 29 December 2023 (UTC)
