Create Separate Page on Company History
editI for one urge the creation of a separate page on the history of Cable and Wireless, from 1929 to 2010, since those are the appropriate boundaries of the firm's creation out of many parts and the company's split into two main components. This should not be too hard to do, and would help negate the difficulty of having corporate history developing on the two separate Cable and Wireless pages (with errors creeping into each).Neptune1969 (talk) 22:03, 27 December 2011 (UTC)
Company is down to just Caribbean and Central America units.
editThe company is down to just the Caribbean and Central American units now, it'is facing increased competition and due to poor service in the region, it probably wont be around much longer. Anyone have ambition to update feel free. But I personally am going to wait the year or two until this company is likely past-tense. CaribDigita (talk) 05:36, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
Liberty Global purchase
edit"Liberty Global plc (“Liberty Global”) (NASDAQ: LBTYA, LBTYB, LBTYK, LILA and LILAK), today notes the announcement released by Cable & Wireless Communications Plc (“CWC”) in relation to a possible offer by Liberty Global for CWC. Liberty Global confirms that it is in discussions with the board of CWC regarding a possible offer for the entire issued and to be issued share capital of CWC."
There's no formal offer documents yet, so it may never happen, but something to keep in mind - this article will likely need some edits in a few months (a buyout of CWC would likely take a while, with dozens of regulators to deal with). dbinghamjr (talk) 15:35, 12 November 2015 (UTC)
