Here is my objection against deletion according to WP:GNG
If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to be suitable for a stand-alone article or list.
- "Significant coverage" The German CHP sector covers about 30 GW, in the EU it is >100 GW. The question on the economics is important.
- "Reliable" Matthes/Ziesing have published this index first in 2011, VKU (association of municipal utilities) payed for and uses it, others reuse it.
- "Sources" do not have to be available online or written in English but there are many German sources available which are translateable.
- "Independent of the subject" As common in academia, Matthes from Öko-Institut publishes regularly on the COGIX, but there are also secondary sources.
- "Presumed" I presume that the COGIX concept is an interesting topic worth an wiki article, as it is an extension of the spark spread methodology for CHP.

- For all German speaking readers, here is a talk by Felix Matthes on CHP including the COGIX. --Gunnar (talk) 22:58, 15 July 2017 (UTC)
