10-year Single Purpose Account Reignfall generating massive Conflict of Interest
editAlmost 100% of the edits from User:Reignfall in the account's 10 year history are for this article and its CEO, Shahrzad Rafati. On June 25, 2018, they saw fit to remove the Conflict of Interest template from both articles. I am asking that Conflict of Interest templates be reinstated to both articles immediately and this user be severely restricted from continuing these edit wars. Thank you. - Agreed. Not to mention: 1) This company is barely notable. There are plenty of companies that don't have wikipedia articles, why does this one? The answer is obvious, the article was written, and is continually updated by either an employee of BBTV, or Shahrzad Rafati themselves. Cxmplex (talk) 04:41, 9 April 2023 (UTC)
- Also agree. This article has been locked as well and is effectively functioning as free, controlled press for the company.
- This week one of their clients accused them of stealing $620000 from them and 'conveniently' there's nowhere to put that. 148.252.141.201 (talk) 13:57, 9 April 2023 (UTC)
Controversy
editI've added a controversy section. Hopefully this has blown over enough so that there's not a dogpile of edits, but it was big enough to make Canadian tech news and thus is relevant. I deliberately didn't include sections on questions of revenue etc. as that's speculative. If the above user (or a sockpuppet) edits this, it's worth a mention in Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest/Noticeboard Exaisle (talk) 05:06, 25 April 2023 (UTC)
Conflict of Interest
editThere continues to be some real conflict of interest going on in this article. This is circumstantial, but googling the first and last name of thee editor, User_talk:AshleyDBuck and BBTV, we find this user is likely a PR specialist employed by the company https://bbtv.com/news/bbtv-content-partners-nominated-for-9th-annual-streamy-awards. This fits with the fact that it would have to be an insider to have a professional picture taken of the inside of the office. I've reverted these edits. Exaisle (talk) 06:36, 30 July 2023 (UTC)
