Brian Murphy (Gaelic games) → Brian Murphy (dual player) –
- As with other GAA sportspeople it describes what he is, not the sport itself. 86.40.96.102 (talk) 17:30, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose. "(Gaelic games)" says what he plays. "(dual player)" merely says that he does two unspecified things. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 22:26, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
- Comment - To an outsider, what does "Gaelic games" or "dual player" signify? Is that the name of a sport, like baseball, football? --ZooFamily (talk) 01:26, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
- It signifies that that is what he does. He plays more than one code. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.40.98.192 (talk) 01:04, 3 October 2012 (UTC)
- See examples such as Stephen Murphy (dual player) or Mary O'Connor (dual player). Anyone with the vaguest knowledge of GAA knows what a dual player is. There's even a page dedicated to it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.40.203.86 (talk) 22:26, 8 October 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose "dual player" is very alien terminology to someone outside of GAA and can potentially mean different things in different sports. I suggest a more plain speaking Brian Murphy (Gaelic footballer and hurler). I'd also suggest moving the other examples of "dual players", too. --RA (talk) 08:15, 10 October 2012 (UTC)
