name
editThis article should be moved to "W. C. Handy Award" to comlpy with the standard set out by such awards as The Academy Award, The Gemini Award, The Juno Award, and The Grammy Award. --Zippanova 19:55, 26 Jun 2005 (UTC)
--Since the awards show is named the Blues Music Awards now, shouldn't the article be moved to 'Blues Music Awards'? Even the article mentions that it isn't called the WC Handy Award now. 66.119.27.235 18:51, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, I agree. I wonder if there was any reason for keeping the old name. Can anybody shed a light on this if there have been any reasons? If not, I will move this article to "Blues Music Award". Thanks. --Sumori 04:26, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- The move is done. I also rewrote the article to fit the new title. Thanks. --Sumori 15:12, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

Blues Music Award → Blues Music Awards – Misspelled — missing an "s" at the end of "Award"... Pillowdelight (talk) 23:12, 6 April 2024 (UTC)
- The name was not "misspelled." You can see from the log below that the "s" was dropped from the article title to be in consistent with other award article such as Grammy and Academy which all used "Award" as the title at the time. It seems those articles have all been renamed, and I don't see any reasons this article should not do the same.Sumori (talk) 00:48, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Sumori: Thank you so much. Pillowdelight (talk) 09:49, 9 April 2024 (UTC)
