Contract
editI have added information about Gillispie's contract (or lack thereof). I know this is not the best way of phrasing it and possibly not the best place to put it, however I feel that this information is important and needs to be represented somewhere on his page. Please feel free to correct me. Theturtlehermit (talk) 10:06, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
You Might Want to Protect This Page For Awhile, Long While
editI am a Kentucky fan no matter what. I am giving you forewarning. The rednecks in this state who don't work and play armchair quarterback are going to give you fits if you don't protect it. They are already calling for him to be fired even though he still has not gotten a full recruiting class or much of chance to prove what he can do. It takes time to build a program in the SEC. Something these illiterate degenerates in this state can not understand. Please listen to me on this one. Protect it until next season.76.177.38.236 (talk) 01:54, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
- I'll put the article on my watchlist and I'll semi-protect it if there are significant problems such as edit warring by unregistered users, the repeated introduction of controversial unsourced content, or vandalism that is not removed quickly. Looking at it now, I think the edits by unregistered users are a net benefit to the article so I don't see the need to protect it now. FloNight♥♥♥ 13:55, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
- Though our IP friend is right that this is a potential breeding ground for vandalism, it probably doesn't need protection right now. I know it's on my watchlist, too, and I suspect I know a couple of other editors who are watching it as well. The article probably already has some POV problems, but I don't have the motivation to clean them up right now. Thanks for keeping an eye out, Flo; I know you'll lock it down if the time comes. Need to edit, Gillispie has been fired
editThere is an article announcing a press conference to talk about his firing, you can verify this here http://www.kentucky.com/818/story/741229.html. As far as reputability of this site, it is the website for the Lexington Herald Leader the local newspaper for Lexington. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kramthegram (talk • contribs) 15:12, March 27, 2009
Let the word go forth -- it is all over the news here. He is gone. He has been Terminated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.65.224.28 (talk) 21:24, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
Will unprotect on request
editAnyone wanting to add good content but doesn't have an account ask here or my talk page, and I'll gladly unprotect the page, or another admin seeing it can. FloNight♥♥♥ 18:56, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
- Why protect the page? There has not been much vandalism recently. (see page history) BlueAg09 (Talk) 23:21, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
- The page had been protected to stop the vandalism. Now that it is unprotected it started again so I added the semi-protection back. I'm going to look closer at the ip addresses that are vandalizing to see if they are the kind that I can block them instead of protecting the page. Since I didn't have time to look closely at the ip addresses last evening, I left the message here letting users without accounts know that they can still add stuff. I don't like protecting pages cause it keeps loads of interested people from adding stuff. But I also don't like for biographies of living people to have loads of crap added to them, either. :-( FloNight♥♥♥ 10:21, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
