Brother injured

I know that early reports were saying that her brother was injured in the attack that took Berta's life, but I'm thinking that was just mis-reporting since the Mexican activist is being named as injured and as a key witness to the murder. Since we have RSs that back it up, I didn't want to just remove it, but I don't think I've seen anything that said that two additional people were injured in the attack. Yes I think I added that point about her brother based on one early report, but I notice there have been other conflicting reports as well. Probably best to remove. MurielMary (talk) 17:52, 4 March 2016 (UTC)

Small inconsistencies between sources

A few small things: Are we sure we have her DOB correct? I've seen numerous sources that she was 42, 43, or 44 at her time of death and, similarly, sources that say she was born in 1971, 1972, and 1973. I've seen the father of her children referred to as both her ex-husband and her husband, and I've seen his last name written as Zúñiga, Zúniga, and Zuniga. I'm not really sure how we should deal with all of these, and while the birth date is kind of important, the other two concerns are very minor. For what it's worth, Berta and Salvador were definitely no longer together, so I tend to go with ex-husband, but I don't know if they were ever formally married or divorced. And looking at their Facebook profiles, Salvador lists his last name as "Zuniga", but at least one of their daughters lists it as "Zúniga". -- Irn (talk) 23:22, 5 March 2016 (UTC)

Date of death

At the time of her death, reports were that she died after midnight, but it seemed pretty confused as to whether it was before or after midnight. The Gaipe report puts her date of death as the 2nd and notes that Castro made the first call for help at 23:39 on 2 March and that Berta died after asking him to call for help. I don't know that that's necessarily definitive, but it seems pretty solid to me. -- irn (talk) 18:59, 20 February 2018 (UTC)

This article appears to refer to two distinct organizations both named as DESA:

• United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs
• Desarrollos Energéticos, S.A
