UK Defensive Politician of the Year Award

edit

The only Google hit for the phrase "Defensive Politician of the Year" is from Wikipedia (and its mirrors).[1] As such, I have removed that phrase, and it should not be restored without a specific reference. 86.143.48.55 (talk) 04:54, 3 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Privy Council

edit

I think we might have been a bit hasty in putting The Right Honourable above his name. The council has not met since 8th March (before the attack) and Mr Wallace does not appear on the List of Members shown on their website. Though we can expect him to be appointed and sworn of the council at its next meeting (probably in mid-April) I don't think it has actually happened yet. Robin S. Partner

edit

Why has all mention of Wallace's partner been removed from the article? Burrobert (talk) 14:44, 25 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Westminster constituency

edit

Is there an alternative to the phase "Westminster constituency". As an Australian I am unfamiliar with the term and it isn't linked. Initially I thought along the lines of a specific seat Cities of London and Westminster (UK Parliament constituency) rather than any seat in the House of Commons. Captain

edit

Is the British Army rank of Captain officially retained after the person has left the army? Martinevans123 (talk) 11:00, 26 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

It seems not. Martinevans123 (talk) 12:16, 11 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
