The Azendohsauridae were in 2015 defined as a clade. They were not indicated as a familia nova. So, despite the ~idae suffix, they were not formally named as a family. They seem to be only a "family" per Wikipediam...--MWAK (talk) 07:21, 1 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
Indeed, this was why I had preferred to describe it as "family-level clade" when I expanded the article, though I can see how even this is problematic when papers have avoided calling it a family or even "family-level" (though the paper coining Azendohsauridae does refer to its sister clade Trilophosauridae as a "family-level clade"). That said, I have since noticed that Azendohsauridae was registered in ZooBank as a family [1], but I don't know what Wikipedia's stance on this sort of situation is and what people's thoughts are.
