Move to mainspace?
editHey, so now that the series has officially begun filming, shouldn’t it move to main page by Wikipedia:Notability (films) FilmLover72 (talk) 20:00, 16 November 2021 (UTC)
Change title to 'Upcoming TV Series'
edit'TV Series' by itself could mean the original or this live action remake. For better clarity I think it should be moved to add 'upcoming' or 'year' like the articles for Cowboy Bebop (2021 TV series) and Death Note (2015 TV series). Mousymouse (talk) 03:56, 11 February 2022 (UTC)
- Agreed. The problem with the year though is that we don't have any confirmed release year yet. Maybe to differentiate, use 'Live Action' instead?
- Thariqziyad (talk) 19:47, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
- I was thinking the same thing. The disambiguation needs to be something that doesn't also apply to the original series. 162.253.233.231 (talk) 05:47, 24 February 2022 (UTC)

Confusing on Wilkinson
editIs Wilkinson directing the seventh episode or not? Article listing states seventh and eighth while comment note only says eighth. Which is it? Arcsoda (talk) 13:40, 13 February 2024 (UTC)
Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 Renewal
editAssuming the series is renewed, they can use the first season’s production to speculate when to expect the second season’s release.
Filming for the first season began on November 16th, 2021, and ran for several months before ending on June 6th, 2022. A lengthy post-production didn’t see the series debut on Netflix until February 22nd, 2024. This means it took 27 months between the start of filming and the show’s release.
Suppose the second season follows the same schedule and begins filming the day after publishing this article (February 23rd, 2024). In that case, the next season of Avatar won’t be seen on Netflix until May/June 2026. Dpugh500 (talk) 13:36, 28 February 2024 (UTC)
- This is info directly copied from an unreliable source, What's on Netflix. Also, the key word here is "assumed". Nothing had been confirmed about a renewal. Just wait for news. Cheezknight (talk) 21:58, 28 February 2024 (UTC)
Netflix has yet to officially greenlight a second season of Avatar, but if Season 1 succeeds, Season 2 (and eventually Season 3) could be on the way. The original Avatar ran for three seasons, and there was plenty of potential for the story to continue beyond that. If Netflix and Kim want to follow that blueprint — especially given the time crunch of working with young actors — they’ll have to work fast. Time will tell, but unless Season 1 is a total flop, it seems reasonable to assume the series will continue. Dpugh500 (talk) 17:44, 29 February 2024 (UTC)
- Dpugh500, please familiarized yourself to "Wikipedia:No original research" and provide a reliable sources. — 98𝚃𝙸𝙶𝙴𝚁𝙸𝚄𝚂 02:12, 1 March 2024 (UTC)
- Hi there, check out on twitter about Avatar: The Last Airbender renewal.[1]. Dpugh500 (talk) 04:10, 7 March 2024 (UTC)
- I'm surprised the news came so quickly, but the article has been updated to reflect the two-season renewal confirmation. Please do not speculate on potential release dates however, and wait for an official confirmation announcement which will likely not happen for some time considering they still have to be produced. Thanks. Cheezknight (talk) 06:01, 7 March 2024 (UTC)

"Xbender" as a proper noun?
editIn the body of the article we have the term "Airbender" capitalized as if it's a proper noun for the people of a country. Isn't this a grammatical error? Not all citizens of a nation are benders, so it feels odd to use Airbender as a proper noun for citizens of the Air Nation.
I will acknowledge almost everyone in the Air Nation is a bender, but that is not the point being argued here. I'm talking about in general the term "Xbender" being capitalized as a proper noun. Firebender, Waterbender, Earthbender, etc. — Tha†emoover†here (talk) 05:31, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing this out. It's not something I would have thought to question. You are likely correct that it is a grammatical error. The other Avatar franchise articles do not capitalize "Xbender" aside from "The Last Airbender" title so feel free to correct it. Cheezknight (talk) 09:43, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
- I was considering this same thing, surprised to see it was already discussed here Lil Sad Lil Happy (talk) 18:12, 20 September 2024 (UTC)

I've been thinking about this for a bit. Keeping in mind that notability is not inherited, none of the individual episodes seem to pass the general notability guideline — sources have lots to say about the show as a whole but rarely about a single episode. Many of the reviews are from blogs or other unreliable sources. The articles also heavily recycle their content, especially in the Production sections. I believe it would overall be far more beneficial to readers to selectively merge or even redirect to the main article. —TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 16:14, 12 August 2024 (UTC)
- Given that there's been no opposition to my proposal for a week and a half, I've redirected all of the episode articles. Very little of the content in these articles cited reliable sources or said anything that wasn't already in the main article, so I didn't merge any of it. I encourage any other editors who are interested to look through the old revisions if they'd like to retain a portion of it. —TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 23:51, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
