editNot sure if this is RS ? But informative:
'Fourpenny Phyllis: Phyllis Fordham of Ashwell Bury 1882-1958' by Albert W Sheldrick. (Published by Ashwell Museum) [1]
Hodwell, Woden-well
editI have heard, or read, that Hodwell, near the springs, is thought to be from "Woden-well" (or Odin-well), but I have no reference to cite.
Can anyone help?
(Who knows... perhaps Ashwell springs is one of the wells beneath the roots of the great ash tree Yggdrasil ;o) --Frans Fowler (talk) 02:50, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
Ashwell Springs
editWhy is the word "perennial" in wiklinks in the section that says Ashwell Springs is a source of the River Cam? If one clicks on this link, one gets taken to the article on perennial plants, and I am not sure what this has to do with sources of rivers. Rollo August (talk) 07:48, 18 August 2021 (UTC)
