Dear Boleyn,
I hope you are keeping well and safe? All is well here.
The present article is about an individual singer, but the article was disambiguated as Paska (band). Logically, it should be moved to Paska (singer), which would create a redirect from the original Paska (band). For consistency, I would also like to delete the latter, since there could conceivably be the need for this article title to be available for a future article on such a (hypothetical) band. However, I have not done this before, and would value your advice again, whenever convenient, as I have read WP:POSTMOVE but am unsure on what's best to do in this case. Very many thanks! With kind regards; Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk)(become old-fashioned!)09:55, 30 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
Hi user:Pdebee, I'm good, thanks. I've got the Wikipedia:Page mover right, you might want to look at getting that. It means I can move the page (as I did) and just tick or untick the box as to whether I want to keep the last title as a redirect. Taking into account user:Finnusertop's comments and thinking WP:REDIRECTSARECHEAP, I left the redirect, but it could be raised at WP:RFD if you think it would be better without. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 06:36, 31 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
That's really helpful; thank you! I have now requested the Wikipedia:Page mover right, as you advised. I am most grateful for the action you've taken and for your guidance. I am happy to defer to Finnusertop's greater experience on the subject of Finnish bands and agree to keep the redirect for now, on the basis that if a Finnish band should ever emerge with that name then a future editor will be able to recycle the redirect into an article. Thanks again! With kind regards to you both; Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk)(become old-fashioned!)14:59, 1 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Paska (singer) → Ari Peltonen – (I would have moved this WP:BOLDly, but the target is a redirect here) The subject of this article is a artist/one-man band called "Paska", proper name Ari Peltonen. Based on my search for sources for this article (see article), I believe the subject is both 1) better known as a radio host (or a general media persona) than as a band/artist, and 2) (especially recent) reliable sources almost always refer to him by his full name, rather than by the mononym "Paska". Based on my reading, the WP:COMMONNAME appears to rather clearly be "Ari Peltonen". Ljleppan (talk) 20:40, 26 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
