Unofficial Events
edit- I removed the sections on unofficial events. There was far more written about Duck Duck Goose than there was about official events. It was really out of place. It also contained numerous grammatical and spelling errors. Additionally, it referenced things (such as the pressure from fans making Duck Duck Goose an "official" event) that were blatantly untrue. (It is not and will never be an official event!) Please do not re-add that section. --PatrickD 05:41, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

- To be perfectly honest, though I commend you for your caution, I think you're blowing COI way out of proportion. Especially if you're no longer chair. I worked for AniZona and PMX but that didn't stop me from editing the AniZona page or Mike Tatsugawa page. Nor did it stop Darold Higa from editing the AX page.
- I'd much rather see the AB article properly cited by somebody who has history with AB rather than have it filled with uncited claims by somebody who never was. Kensuke Aida 08:22, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
- See, I'd still consider that COI. Even if you guys did do it, that doesn't mean it's okay. I may no longer be chair, but I'm still involved with the convention and a member of the New England Anime Society board. Besides, there's plenty of AB fans on Wiki...so I'm sure there's plenty of others out there who can handle this. --PatrickD 00:42, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
It may be a while before I have time, but I've stripped out much of the old history section and added an event history table in its place. For one, the table is much easier to source and gives a quick overview of each year. It is also easier for staffers to update without the COI issues that commonly occur, so long as they can cite the information to an already published source. However, I would still recommend against extensive use press releases and instead look for newspaper articles, magazines, or someplace like AnimeCons.org or ANN. --Farix (Talk) 15:07, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Gallery
editWhat's with the Gallery section? Three photos of random cosplayers is hardly a gallery. It doesn't appear to be directly relevant to this article and seems more like someone's trying to show off their costumes. --PatrickD (talk) 20:29, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
Copied Content (Chat revised)
editI have tagged the Initial planning as much of it is copy/pasted from the animeboston website, while I did work on it a bit to have the wording sound the same but be diffrent, I could use a second opinion reguarding this. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 03:46, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for that, but unfortunately the paraphrasing remains too close, plus there are still considerable verbatim chunks remaining. I have deleted most of the section. It needs to be completely re-written. See below. Best, Voceditenore (talk) 17:29, 30 April 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for that, I will try and rewrite what I can with any possible references that I can find. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 18:45, 30 April 2012 (UTC)
