Name Origin
editWhoever posted that is basically saying that he is Scientologist. How could this be true? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fordzii (talk • contribs) 15:48, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Scientologists are hardly the first people to have come up with this idea. Many people have considered this question befre Hubbard was even concieved. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.153.18.112 (talk) 19:56, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
The idea that humans are cultivated by an alien race is an old one. Look at Charles Fort. He was writing in the early 20th Century. Hubbard had very few original thoughts. 203.158.54.102 (talk) 23:19, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
Confirmed Songs for New Record
editI don't know what the section below is about, no context seems to have been provided, so I've moved the list to here for now. Most of these songs seem to appear on "the CD being sold on tour". Maybe someone more knowledgeable could give this a title, too? Dan 22:32, 16 October 2005 (UTC)*Around The Block
- Bad Morning
- It Could Happen Here
- Spain in the Neck
- What I Feel is Mine
- All Your Crimes (B-Side)
Picture
editThe picture in this article is of the original line up, someone should make a note under it. I would do so, but don't know how.
Chart positions
editSeeing as there are three columns available in the table, shouldn't there only be one dedicated to the US, with the other two listing the respective UK and AUS positions? I'd edit this myself but am not familiar with formatting tables yet. Could someone look into/edit the table please? Addıct 22:12, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
Genre
editAlternative rock seems to general. They're definitely either pop-rock or Post-grunge. Arkyopterix 21:11, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
Alternative metal and post-grunge by server allmusic.com —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.102.34.54 (talk) 16:08, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
I've removed the "Alternative metal" tag for now, until a reliable source can be found giving this (allmusic really isn't one, not regarding metal genres). Prophaniti (talk) 22:58, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
Well, just about everywhere you look, this band is listed as Alternative metal. Besides, they have some pretty heavy songs, which could be classified as Alternative metal. Alternative metal should at least be listed after Alternative rock. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.227.133.187 (talk) 05:01, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
- If they really are called that everywhere, then it would be best to find any such places which are truly reliable, and cite them here. Prophaniti (talk) 15:51, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
Here a link to their own official website. Under the about section in "The Story of the Alien Ant Farm" journal page 2 it says "one of the most critically acclaimed alt-metal bands [Alien Ant Farm] of the decade." http://www.alienantfarm.com/html/index.htm Dreap 15:55, 6 July 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dreap (talk • contribs)

Katie?
editOne of the first lines in the articles talks about the band forming a friendship with Katie and the band Papa Roach.
Who is Katie? Someone's girlfriend? A super fan? What? Could someone tell us why we should care? If she's important to the band, great, just tell us why. I'm looking at these guys for the first time, I don't know the band's history. Katie is Jacoby Shaddix's wife and girlfriend at the time AAF and Papa Roach met. Jacoby Shaddix is the lead singer of Papa Roach. (Otherwise, why would I be here...) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.92.70.107 (talk) 01:47, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
3rd draft
editalien ant farm had a third album fan-titled "3rd draft" featuring a blue cover with the AAF logo, it never was released because of legal troubles but it was available to fans while they were on tour. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.89.175.79 (talk) 04:44, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
