Linus surname

edit

Where has she been credited or her name even mentioned as Alex Linus? By birth her surname is Rousseau, if it came from her mother, though more than likely it would be her father's surname she carried. Regardless, since she is just credited as "Alex" and we have not heard anything specific for her surname, I'm going to change the title to just her forename. Tphi 01:32, 14 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

I moved the page back to Alex Linus after what happened in The Man from Tallahassee, in which she has no knowledge of her mother, thinking her dead. --thedemonhog talk contributions 04:13, 24 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
As I stated above, we don't have any surname for Alex - be it Rousseau, Linus or any other name. Its not been mentioned on the show, and she isn't credited as having one in ABC's guest cast list. For all we know she has been told she was adopted so hasn't taken Linus' name. Keeping the article as just Alex (Lost) is best, as until anything is confirmed its just fan speculation. I guess. --thedemonhog talk contributions 00:28, 28 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
Realistically, she should just be Alex as we have no indication she even is Rousseau's daughter, it is just speculation by the characters on the show, until her surname is revealed by an official source. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mtowers (talkcontribs) 17:33, 16 April 2007 (UTC).Reply
It's not specualtion that she is Rousseau's daughter. That's like saying we don't actually know that Michael is Walt's father because we never saw Walt's birth or conception. --thedemonhog talk contributions 23:54, 16 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
In Through The Looking Glass (2) it is revealed that she is Daniel Rousseau's daughter. comment was added by pfitzner2 16:43, 24 May 2007
We have known that since "Maternity Leave." --thedemonhog talkeditscount 01:43, 25 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Alex had no idea that her mother was Rousseau, which is why I think it is now safer to assume that her name is Linus. --thedemonhog talkeditscount 19:38, 27 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Although no official sources of any kind have listed a surname for her, so we should just refer to her as Alex Tphi 23:00, 27 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Just wanted to say, you've just done some great work on this article, well done! :) Tphi (talk) 17:12, 25 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'm guessing you mean me since I'm the only person that has edited the article recently? If so, thanks, I appreciate it. I've done a bit of work on this article and Christian Shephard and am now working up the motivation to tackle one of the big character articles. Sanders11 (talk) 22:13, 28 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, yes I meant you :) I was looking at who made the last edit on the talk page by accident rather than the article! Tphi (talk) 04:46, 29 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Requesting move per ComicCon video

edit

The Comic-Con video (already used as source for the Tom Friendly page move, and Karl's surname)[1] listed Alex as Alex Rousseau - suggest we move this page finally back to that now we have official confirmation. Tphi (talk) 22:49, 31 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

I agree. --Jackieboy87 (talk · contribs) 03:33, 1 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
