Sentrifugal force
editIt is bad practice to refer to centrifugal force as if it were a real phenomenon, cf. centripetal force. Furthermore, I question whether the reference is valid anyway, as the "centrifugal" effect is exactly what balances the radial force to create geostrophic movement in the first place (the idealized case). Friction is the essential example of ageostrohpy as far as I can understand, but also external forces (forces other than the one towards the center) affecting the course of the fluid, and non-circular force fields (isobars) implying the existence of such forces.
